Bayern monitoring Atlético Madrid man ahead of potential free transfer | OneFootball

Bayern Munich are monitoring Atlético Madrid’s Marcos Llorente with a view to potentially signing him on a free transfer next summer, according to AS.

With the 31-year-old’s contract expiring in the summer of 2027, he will be free to sign a pre-contract with another club from January onwards for the following season – unless Atlético convince him to sign a new deal.

According to the report, Atlético remain calm as they work to secure a contract extension for the versatile former Spain international, confident that they will be able to fend off interest from other clubs.

Comfortable playing as a right-back, right midfielder and central midfielder, Llorente joined Atlético from city rivals Real Madrid in 2019.

Llorente has made a total of 308 appearances for Atlético. He played 27 games for Spain before announcing his international retirement last summer.
