As reported by Sky Germany, Bayern Munich goalkeeper Daniel Peretz is heading to Southampton in the English Championship.
The shotstopper’s loan deal at Hamburger SV was terminated at the beginning of the year due to insufficient playing time. At HSV, Peretz saw zero minutes in the Bundesliga and made just two appearances in the DFB Pokal.
With that in mind, Bayern have already found a new club for the out-of-favour goalkeeper.
The 25-year-old is looking to sign a six month loan spell at Southampton in the second tier of English football. Negotiations are currently being finalised, however, it’s likely that the Saints will have an option-to-buy clause when the loan spell ends this summer.
As per TransferMarkt, Peretz’s current transfer value is €2m.
Southampton are currently 13th in the Championship, having recently played in the Premier League last season. Despite this, they’re just six points from the play-offs.
