Harry Kane sees Jackson as an asset, not a substitute, from his very first steps in Bavaria
Harry Kane x Nicolas Jackson / Bayern Munich
Harry Kane reacted this weekend following the victory over Hamburg (5-0) in Munich, speaking about Nicolas Jackson, his new teammate at Bayern. The England international expressed his excitement after the Senegalese forward's Bundesliga debut.
Nicolas Jackson made his first Bundesliga appearance on September 13, during Bayern Munich's convincing win over Hamburg (5-0) at the Allianz Arena. Coming on in the second half, the Senegalese striker replaced Serge Gnabry and got his first taste of German football under favorable circumstances.
Asked after the match, Harry Kane shared his thoughts on Nicolas Jackson's arrival. The former Tottenham striker highlighted the Senegalese's qualities, particularly his pace, movement, and ability to create scoring opportunities. In Kane's eyes, Jackson has all the attributes needed to make his mark in the Bayern squad.
"He’s a valuable asset for us. I didn’t know him that well. We faced him this summer and he left a really good impression, played a very strong game. If you follow the Premier League, you’ll see he has many qualities," Harry Kane recalled. For him, his teammate is a real asset for Bayern. He creates a lot of chances. And he’s here to help the team. We’re already working together in training and on finishing. I think he can have a major impact for us this season, thanks to his speed, movement, and goals. He’s a valuable asset for us," Harry Kane told Sky Germany.
