With several players away on international duty, the training facilities at Bayern Munich are currently being used by those not involved in the national team games, as well as by players recovering from injuries. The Bavarian club has been in somewhat of an injury crisis this season, especially in the defensive and midfield departments.

Aleksandar Pavlović, Sacha Boey, Hiroki Ito, Josip Stanišić and most recently João Palhinha, are the first team players who have been sidelined due to injuries. The latest information coming from today’s training sessions brings us up to speed on the recovery stages of some of these players.

Aleksander Pavlovic completed partial team training

The good news concerning Aleksander Pavlovic, as reported by BILD (via @iMiaSanMia_en) is that he completed warm-up and passing training with the team. After that, he trained individually.

Bayern won’t let the player risk any contact on his body, especially his shoulder, which is still healing after suffering a minor fracture in the game against VfB Stuttgart on October 19. The 20-year-old was estimated to be sidelined for around three months but since he’s showing remarkable progress, his return could come much earlier.

Sacha Boey ready for his comeback

Reports from BILD (via @iMiaSanMia) indicate that after a long spell on the sidelines, Sacha Boey is now set to return to footballing action against FC Augsburg on 22nd November. The 24-year-old suffered a meniscus tear in his knee in late September and had to undergo an operation.

The Frenchman’s injury record at FC Bayern has become a subject of concern as he has made only two appearances so far this season for Die Roten, and four overall since joining the club in January.

Positive development for Stanišić

Another good news from Säbener Strasse is that Josip Stanišić has resumed training with the ball. The 24-year-old, who returned to Bayern after a super successful loan spell with Leverkusen, is yet to be involved in a single Bundesliga game this season. He suffered a knee injury before the season’s opener against Wolfsburg and has been sidelined since.

Meanwhile, Hiroki Ito recently underwent another surgery on his foot which has postponed his expected return date to the next year. The Japanese International is yet to make his debut for FC Bayern.

There is no new news on Joao Palhinha’s situation. The defensive midfielder is likely to be out for around three weeks and miss the crucial run of games against PSG, Dortmund, and Leverkusen. Joshua Kimmich also survived an injury scare in Germany's latest Nations League game against Bosnia and Herzegovina where he took a heavy knock to his knee. The player is set to be rested in their next game against Hungary.
