Bayern Munich legend spotted at Barcelona’s training base | OneFootball

A former member of the defensive ranks at German heavyweights Bayern Munich was on Thursday spotted at the training ground of Spanish champions Barcelona.

The player in question? Jérôme Boateng.

Stopper Boateng is for his part currently available on the market as a free agent. This comes after the veteran stopper’s contract terms with Austrian outfit LASK were allowed to expire this past summer.

The 37-year-old has not yet officially called time on his career, understood to be hopeful of playing one final season.

And as alluded to above, with a view to as much, Boateng on Thursday made use of the training facilities of Barcelona.

As per a report from Diario Sport, the German was spotted at the Ciutat Esportiva earlier today, expected to remain for the days ahead, too.

After the pair spent two years together at Bayern Munich, this opportunity was likely extended to Boateng by Hansi Flick, to allow the former to work on his fitness.
