Michael Olise was most recently considered one of Real Madrid’s top transfer targets. Now, however, a surprising turn of events is unfolding: The Royals are said to have realigned their transfer plans.
Speculation surrounding Michael Olise and Real Madrid has been a constant topic for FC Bayern in recent weeks. Time and again, the French national team player has been linked with a move to Real Madrid. At times, there was even talk of a potential record transfer fee exceeding the 200-million-euro mark.
Now, however, the matter may be off the table for the time being.
According to the Spanish sports newspaper AS, Real Madrid has internally decided to set different priorities in the transfer market. The reasoning is reportedly based on the assessment that Olise is currently “unavailable.”
According to the report, the Madrid club is now focusing primarily on Chelsea star Enzo Fernández. The Argentine World Cup champion is reportedly seen as the ideal solution for central midfield and is currently said to be the top priority for club officials.
For FC Bayern, this development is definitely good news. After all, the Munich club has made it clear on several recent occasions that they consider Olise unsellable. Internally, the Frenchman is regarded as one of the most important building blocks for the club’s future.
Just a few days ago, Sky reported that Bayern is working intensively on a contract extension beyond 2029. The attacking player is set to be tied to the club long-term and made one of the club’s top earners.
This is another reason why Real Madrid now seems to have realized how difficult a transfer would be at this time.
According to information from AS, the Spanish club is therefore now focusing on other areas of need in the squad and is moving forward with plans to sign Fernández.
The decision-makers at Säbener Straße are already following a clear plan. Olise is set to become the face of the Bayern team in the coming years.
The 24-year-old has had a strong World Cup so far, shone in both of France’s group stage matches, and has long been considered one of Europe’s most sought-after attacking players.

That’s exactly why the Munich club wants to act as quickly as possible and extend the Frenchman’s contract early.
Although there is currently no final agreement between the two sides, talks are ongoing.
For now, there are strong indications that Real Madrid has shifted its attention to other transfer targets. Even though the Royals likely still have Olise’s name on their radar, a concrete move no longer seems like a realistic option at this time.
