Bayern Takes a Hard Line: Nübel Is Not to Report for the Start of Training | OneFootball

FC Bayern wants to and will let some players go this summer. That includes Alexander Nübel. His loan to Stuttgart is ending, and Bayern no longer has plans for the goalkeeper. So now they’re taking drastic measures. 

Nübel has been on loan to Stuttgart for the past few years and previously played on loan for AS Monaco. The goalkeeper earns a high salary in Munich, which the club wants to save on.

Currently, Besiktas is the most interested party; the record champion has rejected an initial offer of ten million euros, including bonuses . The club also does not want to sell the player for less than his value.

Nübel: Bayern Makes a Statement

So the negotiations are currently at a standstill, even though it’s absolutely clear to both sides that the goalkeeper has no future in Munich. Nübel himself is reportedly not yet fully convinced about a move to Istanbul. That makes a deal even more complicated.

According toSky reports, FC Bayern has now sought to engage with the player’s side. Nübel’s agency is said to have been informed by Max Eberl that Nübel should not report to Bayern’s official training kickoff at Säbener Straße. Until then, efforts will be made to find a new club for him.

Meanwhile, Besiktas has apparently made it clear once again that they want to sign Nübel and plan to make him their number one goalkeeper. As a result, there is currently ongoing communication with the goalkeeper’s advisors.

The tough stance taken by Eberl and Bayern underscores the urgency once again: Bayern wants to offload Nübel, save on his salary, and recoup some money for him. There’s another reason why he doesn’t have to train with the team. If the goalkeeper hasn’t found a club by the time he’s scheduled to start training, an injury would be anything but ideal.
