According to Sport1, Bayern consider their central midfield well stocked for the 2026-27 season and, beyond the impending arrival of Ismael Saibari, who is expected to feature mainly in attack, do not plan further midfield signings.

Joshua Kimmich and Aleksandar Pavlović remain the intended starting double pivot next term. Tom Bischof is set for more minutes as cover in that role.

Noël Aséko is understood to have influential backers inside the club who want him included as a squad option and to receive opportunities in midfield.

Bayern intend to persist with a small-squad approach, creating space for academy players to step up and prove themselves.

Recent links to Felix Nmecha are viewed as uncertain. He is not considered available unless a nine-figure bid arrives, which is deemed beyond Bayern’s reach, and his representatives are said to prefer a move abroad rather than to a direct Bundesliga rival at Borussia Dortmund’s expense.
