Sky Germany reports that Bayern Munich wonderkid Lennart Karl has been told by head coach Julian Nagelsmann that he is included in Germany's World Cup squad.

The tournament will be staged in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Karl has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Bayern Munich, scoring nine goals and supplying eight assists in 39 matches in all competitions.

He made his senior international debut in March, appearing against Switzerland and Ghana.

Karl is 18.
