Bayern's Hiroki Ito steps up recovery with individual ball work | OneFootball

Hiroki Ito has taken a key step in his recovery from a muscle fibre tear by returning to individual ball work. Bayern said on Monday that the Japanese defender completed his first individual session with the ball at Säbener Straße.

He sustained the injury at the end of February.

His return to the squad remains unclear. He has already missed the Bundesliga fixtures against Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Ito also missed a significant part of the season’s start due to a metatarsal fracture.

In total, he has featured 15 times for Bayern this season.
