Bayo strikes as Gaziantep end seven-match winless run | OneFootball

Gaziantep beat Kasımpaşa 2-1 on Monday to snap a seven-match Süper Lig winless run and steady their push in mid-table.

Adrian Benedyczak put the visitors ahead in the 16th minute, finishing from the centre of the box. Kacper Kozłowski levelled with a low finish (24.), before Mohamed Bayo swept in the winner after a through ball (36.).

Drissa Camara was sent off for the hosts after a VAR review (42.), forcing Burak Yılmaz's side to dig in with ten men before the interval.

Cenk Tosun struck the post before the break and, after the restart, the visitors pushed without finding a way through. Irfan Kahveci shot over in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time as the hosts held firm.

Kasımpaşa saw more of the ball at 54% and won seven corners, but managed only one shot on target from nine attempts. Gaziantep registered four attempts, two on target, and racked up 29 clearances to see the game out.

Gaziantep are eighth with 28 points and visit Kocaelispor next. Kasımpaşa remain 16th in the relegation zone on 16 points and host Fatih Karagümrük next.
