‘Becoming Her: Before We Grow Up’ - the new documentary produced by the Juventus Creator Lab - will premiere on Disney+ on 21 September as part of the ESPN section. The announcement comes as the documentary made its world premiere today, 20 July, at the Giffoni Film Festival, where it was featured as a Special Event.

The event was attended by Francesca Michielin, a passionate the Juventus supporter, an advocate for female empowerment, and the narrator of the documentary, alongside Anna Copelli, one of the three young footballers featured in 'Becoming Her: Before We Grow Up'. The pair met with the audience, answered questions from attendees, and concluded the event with the traditional Giffoni stage photo.

Three stories, one shared Bianconeri passion

Produced by Juventus Creator Lab, the documentary follows the journeys of Sofia Cholovskaya, Samantha Lee, and Anna Copelli, three promising young footballers who embody the global spirit of the club.

From the Juventus Academy in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, to the Academy in Los Angeles, United States, and the heart of Juventus' youth system at the Allianz Training Center in Vinovo, Italy, the three protagonists are united by one common passion: football.

Through moments from their everyday lives, honest reflections, and training sessions, the documentary tells a compelling story of ambition, personal growth, and self-belief.

Juventus, long committed to developing the next generation of players, supports these young athletes through some of the most important stages of their lives. The story begins in Vinovo, where Anna celebrates her 18th birthday alongside her Juventus Under-19 teammates. The intimate celebration marks a quiet but significant step into adulthood. Sofia trains with the Juventus Academy in Al Khobar, balancing school, friendships, and the talent that could one day take her into the professional game. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Samantha combines her studies, creativity, and football, finding through the sport the confidence and determination to overcome challenges and continue growing both on and off the pitch.
