Corinthians supporters faced queues entering Neo Química Arena on Sunday as gate openings were delayed by a bee swarm before the derby with Palmeiras.
The club said in a statement that insects gathered near the junction of the East and South sectors, safety measures were taken, which delayed the opening, and entry later returned to normal.
Some sectors opened up to 35 minutes late. The issue affected the entire stadium and had not been flagged in the pre-match inspection.
Supporters were seen moving toward the South sector, with queues in the East, while access on the West side began at 17:00, the scheduled opening time.
The stadium faced criticism last week when all toilets in the South sector were closed during the defeat by Internacional, with reports of blocked urinals.
Corinthians and Palmeiras meet in the 11th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Corinthians sit 16th on 10 points, while Palmeiras lead with 25.
