Belgium signed off their World Cup warm-up schedule in style with a dominant 5-0 win over Tunisia in Brussels, extending their unbeaten run to 13 matches and sending a clear warning ahead of the tournament.

The Red Devils started brightly in front of their home crowd and were rewarded just before the half-hour mark when Leandro Trossard opened the scoring. Jeremy Doku was once again at the heart of the move, weaving his way into the box with trademark quick feet before squaring for the Arsenal forward to finish from close range.

Kevin De Bruyne then began to pull the strings, forcing a save from the Tunisian keeper before half-time, as Belgium continued to control proceedings with ease.

Any hopes of a Tunisia response were quickly extinguished after the break. Charles De Ketelaere rose highest to meet Youri Tielemans’ cross and head home the second, underlining Belgium’s dominance in the air and in midfield.

The game then opened up further when Tunisia were reduced to ten men following a second yellow card, and Belgium made the most of the extra space. De Bruyne added a third with a composed strike from the edge of the area before late goals from Dodi Lukebakio and Nicolas Raskin completed the rout.

Romelu Lukaku also featured from the bench as he continues his return to fitness, even registering an assist in a lively cameo.

With confidence high and key players in form, Belgium now head into the World Cup with momentum firmly on their side.
