Nobody had scored against Mexico at this World Cup until Jude Bellingham arrived.
England face not just a tough, but a massive test against the co-hosts on Sunday evening as they travel to the storied Azteca. However, they proved they're up for it.
An electric match delivered in the first 45 minutes, and despite being on their heels for the majority of it, England struck. They did so not once, but twice, through the Real Madrid midfielder.
Bellingham first was supporting Kane on a counterattack, and as the Bayern Munich man drew defenders, his team-mate was left unmarked, allowing him to head home at the back post. Then, in a stunning 99-second span, Bellingham bagged another after bundling the ball home from inside the box.
It means he is the first player to score twice at this specific stadium at the World Cup since Diego Maradona in 1986.
Additionally, it goes down as the third-fastest brace in the entire history of the tournament, behind Kylian Mbappe (France vs. Argentina, 2022) and Toni Kroos (Germany vs. Brazil, 2014)
Bellingham now sits one behind Kane with four goals this campaign. His overall tally at the World Cup is five goals and two assists from 10 games.
