Benfica and Sporting lodge official offers for Doumbia | OneFootball

According to O Jogo, Benfica and Sporting have submitted official offers for 22-year-old midfielder Issa Doumbia, and the capital rivals are ahead in the race despite interest from Italy and the Premier League.

The midfielder helped Venezia secure promotion to Serie A this season.

He made 37 appearances, scoring nine goals and supplying five assists.

Doumbia was born in Italy and has Ivorian heritage.
