Benfica fans back Sudakov after birthday post to his wife | OneFootball

Benfica supporters have posted messages of support to Sudakov on social media amid a difficult spell for the midfielder.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Ukrainian marked Liza Sudakova’s birthday with a post on Wednesday, prompting a wave of replies from Benfica fans backing him.

In his message, he thanked her for love and warmth, spoke of the happiness she brings, and referenced their daughters, Milanka and Zlata, wishing her constant smiles and the best from life.

Supporters urged him not to let his head drop, told him they will always be with him, and encouraged him to stay strong even when things feel hard.

The attacking midfielder has acknowledged feeling physical and emotional fatigue. He said he is working to rediscover enjoyment in his game, thanked those by his side, and aims to become stronger to repay their faith.

Sudakov has played 36 times for Benfica this season, 22 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, nine in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal and two in the Taça da Liga. Across 2,381 minutes he has four goals and five assists, and is valued at €28 million.
