Benfica have entered the race to sign Deportivo winger Yeremay Hernández, creating direct competition with rivals Sporting. The 23-year-old is regarded as one of La Liga 2's most promising talents.
According to Glorioso 1904, both Lisbon clubs have already contacted the Spanish side in a bid to accelerate talks and gain an advantage.
Sporting have tracked Hernández for several months and his name has been repeatedly linked to Alvalade. Benfica now emerge as a direct challenger, a contest that could intensify in the coming weeks.
Hernández, who has been praised by Rafael Obrador, is already looking for a home in Portugal, specifically in Herdade da Aroeira. That search has increased speculation that he could move for the 2026/27 season.
This season for Deportivo, Hernández has played 38 matches and is valued at 25 million euros. Across 2,963 minutes on the pitch, he has delivered 11 goals and 10 assists.
