According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica are closely monitoring Jan Virgili, the 19-year-old Mallorca winger schooled at Barcelona’s academy.
With Bruma likely to leave and Andreas Schjelderup attracting interest from leading clubs, the club have prioritised a wide player for the 2026/27 window. Rui Costa and Marco Silva are already working on options with Barcelona links.
Celta Vigo and Roma are also tracking Virgili, while Real Betis, previously linked in recent weeks, are not currently in the race.
Barcelona retain 40% of Virgili’s economic rights and hold a buy-back clause set at 7.2 million euros, a factor that could shape any negotiations.
Virgili made 34 appearances for Mallorca this season, 31 in La Liga and three in the Copa del Rey, totalling 1,826 minutes. He scored three goals and provided five assists. Mallorca finished 18th in La Liga and were relegated, and the Spain Under-21 international is valued at 15 million euros.
