Benfica set €50 million bar to consider Pavlidis sale | OneFootball

Benfica are not looking to sell Vangelis Pavlidis in the current summer window, unless an offer judged impossible to refuse lands at the Estádio da Luz.

According to Glorioso 1904, Barcelona have shown interest but the Greek forward remains a leading figure for Marco Silva, and the hierarchy would only entertain talks on those terms.

For now, that scenario appears distant. There have been no formal bids, and the No 14 is fully focused on preparations for the new season with Benfica.

The stance under president Rui Costa is unchanged, Pavlidis will not be allowed to leave for less than €50 million. The club also believe his market value is still climbing, so a higher demand is not ruled out.

At the same time, Benfica are prioritising an exit for Ivanovic. He did not feature in the friendly against St. Gallen, whereas Pavlidis underlined his importance by scoring four against the Swiss side.

The arrival of Durán adds depth in attack but does not alter the plan to keep Pavlidis, seen as influential and difficult to replace. Only a sizeable proposal would prompt Benfica to open negotiations, and at this stage nothing indicates that is imminent.
