According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica have identified Braga midfielder Rodrigo Zalazar as a priority target for next season, seeing him as a player who could add quality to José Mourinho’s squad.
Benfica want to move early in the summer, but António Salvador is unwilling to ease the process. Braga consider the player essential to their plans and will not negotiate at any price.
The main obstacle is the price. The asking figure stands at a minimum of €25 million, which Braga view as fair given his quality, age and potential, even if it discourages some suitors.
While acknowledging Braga’s financial stance, Benfica remain convinced Zalazar fits the desired profile. They are preparing for a long and complex negotiation, with Braga intent on holding a strong position.
In 2025/26, Zalazar is valued at €20 million and has 21 goals and six assists from 39 appearances across 2,848 minutes. He has been among the standout performers under Carlos Vicens.
