Record writes that Benfica and Napoli are set to hold a decisive meeting in the coming days over Lorenzo Lucca, with talks expected to accelerate.
Napoli have set a loan fee of €two million, plus an option to buy at €35 million. Rui Costa’s hierarchy view those figures as high, though Benfica are willing to negotiate them down.
The objective is to find common ground that secures the striker without upsetting the SAD budget.
If he does move, Lucca is understood to prefer remaining in his homeland. Beyond Porto, Juventus, Lazio, Roma and Betis are monitoring the situation, which could complicate Benfica’s push.
This season for Napoli, Lucca, valued at €25 million, has made 21 appearances, 15 in Serie A, four in the Champions League, one in the Super Cup and one in the Coppa Italia. Across 584 minutes, he has scored two goals, and his contract runs until June 2028.
