Benfica ‘to make’ first offer for Bayern’s João Palhinha | OneFootball

DAZN Portugal reports that Benfica are preparing a first offer for Bayern Munich midfielder João Palhinha, valued at €25 million and structured as €20 million up front plus €5 million in bonuses.

Record writes that an alternative being explored is a loan, with a €10 million fee and a mandatory €15 million purchase clause.

Palhinha spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, who chose not to activate their €30 million option to buy.

Sporting CP have also shown interest in the Portugal international, though that interest is understood to have cooled over wage demands.

A return to Portugal remains possible, with Benfica assessing their options.
