Benfica ‘to target’ Cologne winger Jakub Kaminski amid Brighton and Leipzig interest | OneFootball

Benfica are tracking Cologne winger Jakub Kaminski as they look to bolster their wide options.

Express reports that Brighton and Leipzig are also keen on the 24-year-old. He impressed on loan at Cologne last season, scoring 7 in 36 Bundesliga games.

After that campaign, Cologne activated their option to buy from Wolfsburg for about €17 million. The club could consider a sale this window if his €20 million release clause is met.

Before Wolfsburg, Kaminski shone for Lech Poznań, establishing himself in Poland and drawing European interest. He has 31 senior caps for Poland, and faced Benfica in the Europa League in 2020.

Marco Silva wants an attacker who can operate across the front line, so Benfica remain alert to multiple targets. Alongside Kaminski, Midtjylland’s Chilean winger Darío Osorio is also on their list. Kaminski has said he would like to move to English football.
