Benfica with Rui Costa ‘to lead’ race for Vitória de Guimarães talent Noah Saviolo | OneFootball

A Bola reports that Benfica are leading the race for Vitória de Guimarães standout Noah Saviolo, with the Lisbon club seen as better placed to strike an agreement.

Roma have entered with a proposal of around 10 million euros, including add-ons, but their involvement is not hindering negotiations between Benfica and Vitória.

The clubs opened talks a few weeks ago and there is an expectation the deal could be wrapped up soon. The season ending this weekend could accelerate matters.

Vitória have already turned down offers of about five million euros from Ligue 1 sides and are open to negotiating with Benfica around seven to seven and a half million euros. Even so, they could now push for improved terms following Roma’s approach.

Saviolo, 22, has played 35 matches this season, 29 in the league, three in the Taça de Portugal and three in the Taça da Liga. Across 2,286 minutes he has two goals and five assists, and is valued at two million euros.
