Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko trained at Carrington on Tuesday morning ahead of the season opener at Hull City this weekend.
Sesko hasn’t played for United since picking up a shin injury in the 3-2 victory over Liverpool in early May.
The 23-year-old missed pre-season as he continued recovering from his injury. However, the striker has returned to training and could be available against Hull.
Sesko joined the Red Devils last summer from RB Leipzig in a deal worth up to £73.7 million.
He initially struggled to adapt to the Premier League’s pace and intensity, scoring just two goals during the first half of the campaign.
However, Sesko ended the season with 12 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions.
Manager Michael Carrick may stick with Bryan Mbeumo to lead the attack this weekend. Sesko could feature off the bench in the second half.
Matthijs de Ligt also took part in training, although he is expected to miss the opening few matches as he hasn’t fully recovered yet.
Mason Mount is absent after picking up a knock in the friendly against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month.
