Ismaël Bennacer is leaving Milan to move to France and start a new chapter at OM.
Bennacer joined Milan in 2019 from Empoli, fast becoming one of the integral players in the squad, playing an important role in the Scudetto win in 2022.
However, the last couple of years have not been great for Isma, as he spent most of them out with a knee injury, making his return to the pitch in early December.
He was quickly thrown into the starting XI by Sérgio Conceição, who also replaced him on half-time in the Derby, but the two will not continue together.
As reported by Mohamed Bouhafsi and many others, today Olympique de Marseille and Milan found an agreement with Bennacer. Bouhafsi reports that OM will pay €12m plus €3m in bonuses for the 27-year-old. The exact formula is still unclear with Milannews.it saying it’s a loan with option to buy.
The Algerian international’s place in the squad will be filled by Warren Bondo who joins from Monza.
