Bergsvand joins Wolfsburg from Brighton | OneFootball

Guro Bergsvand has signed a two-year contract with Wolfsburg after leaving Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Norwegian defender played 71 times and scored four times for the WSL side after joining the club from Brann midway through the 2022/23 season.

The 31-year-old has now joined German giants Wolfsburg after signing a two-year deal.

"Wolfsburg is an important club that has had a big name in the women's field for many years. Therefore the change to VfL is a great opportunity and an absolute honour for me," Bergsvand said after signing for the club.

"I am very much looking forward to doing my part on the pitch soon so that the club in Germany and the Champions League remains so successful."

It is likely to be a busy summer for Dario Vidošic's side, especially with experienced defenders, including fellow Norwegian Maria Thorisdottir leaving the club.
