GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands – The 2025/26 Concacaf W Qualifiers closed its opening matchday with Bermuda earning a 4-nil win against the Cayman Islands in Group C on Thursday at Truman Bodden Sports Complex in George Town, Cayman Islands.

Eva Frazzoni started the scoring for Bermuda in the 2’, capitalizing off a corner kick with a lethal strike in the box.

Bermuda doubled its advantage in the 13’ after Kenni Thompson took advantage of a lost ball in the box, sending it to the back of the net with a left-footed shot.

Jaden Masters added the third for Bermuda in the 40’, with a right-footed shot from the right side of the penalty area. Thompson collected her second assist of the match in the process.

Nia Christopher got the ball past goalkeeper Ericia Burke in the 68’ for the last goal of the evening to wrap up Bermuda’s first three points. 

Bermuda will retake the field against Guatemala for its second match in Group C on December 1. The Cayman Islands will look for its first victory in the W Qualifiers when it meets Guatemala during the March fixtures.
