Beşiktaş ‘have submitted’ offer for Monaco's Thilo Kehrer | OneFootball

Beşiktaş have submitted an offer for AS Monaco centre-back Thilo Kehrer, 29, according to Foot Mercato.

The bid is understood to total €15m, comprising a €12m fee plus €3m in bonuses, while Monaco are holding out for €20m.

Kehrer began the season on the bench, but the vice-captain has become a key figure under Sébastien Pocognoli, helped by injuries in the back line.

The Germany international has made 22 appearances in all competitions, including all seven of Monaco's UEFA Champions League matches.

CEO Thiago Scuro has said Monaco must sell a player before July to avoid the risk of non-compliance with UEFA regulations, though he stressed this has to be balanced with sporting objectives.

With Wout Faes and Eric Dier injured in the 0-0 draw against Le Havre AC on Saturday, it remains unclear whether Monaco could now afford to let another centre-back leave.
