Besiktas are targeting Nottingham Forest midfielder Ibrahim Sangare ahead of the summer window.
Takvim reports that initial contact has been made with the player's agent, and the club plan to approach Forest to make an offer, with Sangare identified as Wilfred Ndidi's potential replacement.
Despite a willingness to push hard, a move is viewed as unlikely given the fee thought to be required to persuade Forest to sell.
Sangare, 28, has been a key figure for Vitor Pereira's side this season but is currently injured and has missed the last four games.
The Ivory Coast international joined in summer 2023 in a £30 million switch from PSV Eindhoven and is under contract until 2028.
He was linked with a move in January, when Galatasaray were said to be interested. Forest are likely to assess midfield options for another Premier League campaign, with Elliot Anderson expected to depart and Nicolas Dominguez attracting attention.
