Beşiktaş are pursuing Vangelis Pavlidis and have devised a plan to tempt Benfica, Fanatik reports. Benfica want 50 million euros, and the Istanbul club do not view that figure as an obstacle.
The proposal would be 20 million euros up front, rising through performance-related objectives tied to the 27-year-old’s output. Those add-ons could lift the overall package.
Pavlidis’s profile matches what Önder Özen, Beşiktaş’s new football director, seeks in a centre forward. Club president Serdal Adalı is directly involved in the push, and the striker cost Benfica 18 million euros in 2024.
The report adds that Adalı recently travelled to Madrid to meet Benfica representatives, and that Beşiktaş received permission to contact the striker, who reacted positively to a move to Istanbul.
In 2025/26 Pavlidis made 53 appearances for Benfica, 33 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 14 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. Across 4,244 minutes he scored 30 goals and provided five assists. He is valued at 32 million euros.
