‘Better live than on TV‘ — Slavia Prague manger singles out Barcelona midfield star for high praise | OneFootball

FC Barcelona once again overcame a difficult situation last night to get the full three points in their penultimate League Phase game of the UEFA Champions League 2025-26 campaign.

The Blaugranes went a goal down early in the game, and ended the first half with a 2-2 scoreline. In the second half, they scored 2 more to end the game 4-2 in their favor.

The midfielder Fermin Lopez deserves a lot of credit for this win, as it was his brace that allowed the Catalans to go into the half-time break on level terms, before turning around the score in the second half.

In fact, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, the Slavia Prague coach, Jindrich Trpisovsky, himself recognized how good the Spanish midfielder was in this game after the end of the match, as he said:

“Fermín is better live than on TV.”

The coach also commented on what went wrong for his team against Barcelona:

“In the first half, we were dangerous in some situations; we fought honestly with some players. We didn’t allow the opponent much. They lost many balls, and we were already running out of energy. If we had handled some situations better, we could have continued to threaten.”

There is no doubt that the first half must have left a lot of Barcelona fans worrying, as the Blaugranes are still outside of the top 8 in the UCL standings. However, they currently stand 9th in the table, and a win in the last match next week will leave them with very good chances of making it directly to the Round of 16.
