BILD: Eintracht Frankfurt eye Leeds-linked Stuttgart star Demirović | OneFootball

Ermedin Demirović confirmed he’ll stay at VfB Stuttgart when he starts pre-season preparations last week. However, BILD now reports Eintracht Frankfurt are exploring a move for the Bosnia & Herzegovina striker.

“I’ve always said I want to stay at VfB. I harmonize very well with the coach (Sebastian Hoeneß). Nothing has changed in my head," Demirovic said this month after he was linked with Leeds United, Juventus and Fenerbahçe.

The Turkish side officially released a statement denying the rumors. BILD’s report now comes a day after Dženan Pejčinović’s arrival from VfL Wolfsburg for €25 million. Meanwhile, Frankfurt are reportedly in the lookout for an experienced striker as Elye Wahi is set to join OGC Nice on a permanent deal.

However, it will not be expected to be an easy negotiation for the Europa Conference League participants. Not only Demirović has to give up Champions League participation for the move, but his reported €3.5 million salary at Stuttgart could be difficult for Frankfurt. He has a contract until 2028 with the Swabians.
