BILD: Klopp decides to drop Leroy Sané from Germany squad

BILD reports that Leroy Sané will not make the cut for Jürgen Klopp’s first squad as Germany national team coach. The 30-year-old was last omitted from the national team setup last year after he joined Galatasaray from FC Bayern.

Since then, Julian Nagelsmann called him back, and he even started all four games during the 2026 World Cup. However, Klopp has now decided to leave him out of the squad despite up to 40 players set to be named in tomorrow’s selection.

Sane scored 18 goals in 80 caps for Germany since making his debut in 2015. He is yet to score or assist this season for the Turkish giants after six games in all competitions.
