Bischof opens to playing multiple roles at FC Bayern | OneFootball

Tom Bischof featured at left-back, central midfielder and right-back positions throughout his 39 appearances in his debut season at FC Bayern. The Germany U21 international is open to showing his versatility once again in the upcoming season.

"I know that I'm planned for the #6 position,” Bischof said when he was asked about his role at Bayern after the 2-1 win in Jeju, South Korea. “But the coach knows that I'm open to everything. If I'm needed on the left or on the right, I'll be there. Just like I did last season"

Bischof talked about their preparation for the new season as he continued to play a bigger role than last season. "Everyone is happy that the squad is getting back together, and you can feel that we're getting better. Of course, it still takes a bit of time. It was incredibly hot today. During pre-season, it's normal that not everything clicks straight away."

The 21-year-old was also asked about Bastian Assomo as the 16-year-old scored the winner in the first game of FC Bayern’s Asia Tour. "He's a very good footballer. A classic striker who scores goals. I'm very happy for him and all the youngsters who got the chance to prove themselves.”
