Inter defender Yan-Aurel Bisseck is ‘not thinking’ about a return to the Bundesliga, but is ‘curious’ to see Jurgen Klopp in charge of the Germany national team: ‘It gives me a lot of hope.’

Bisseck became a regular Inter starter in 2025-26, contributing to the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto and Coppa Italia victories.

Bisseck ‘not thinking’ about Bundesliga return

The German defender has recently been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but no negotiations have yet begun between the German and Italian title holders.

“It’s not something I’m thinking about currently,” Bisseck told Sky Sport DE when asked about a potential return to the Bundesliga.

“But we know that in football, with the right offer, things can change very quickly. I play for Inter, which isn’t bad at all, so a possible return to the Bundesliga isn’t something I’m concerned about right now.”

Bisseck, 25, has only made one appearance with the Germany national team, making his senior international debut in 2025 in a 3-3 Nations League draw against Italy.

Germany were knocked out in the World Cup Round of 32 by Paraguay, so the German federation is on the verge of appointing Jurgen Klopp to replace Julian Nagelsmann.

“His [Klopp’s] arrival gives me a lot of hope,” Bisseck said.

“He’s a high-level coach, and I’m convinced he’ll be able to bring his ideas and do a good job. Naturally, in the end, a lot will depend on the players as well. You can’t think that everything will change from one day to another. I’m really curious to see what he will build.”

Bisseck is about to begin his fourth season at Inter. He has made 103 appearances with the Nerazzurri, scoring eight goals.
