Spanish daily AS journalist Xavi Miguel has raised the possibility of a lengthy absence for Pedri, who could be sidelined for nearly a month following the injury he sustained during Wednesday’s clash against Slavia Prague, part of the seventh matchday of the Champions League group stage.

According to initial reports from Xavi Miguel, the Blaugrana midfielder may be suffering from a possible hamstring tear in his right leg. Comprehensive medical examinations will be conducted in Barcelona to determine the exact nature of the injury.

The Spanish journalist also notes that, given Pedri’s medical history—he has often suffered similar muscle injuries—the period of absence could stretch to three or four weeks if the tear is confirmed.

“This estimate remains provisional and will depend on the severity of the injury. It will be revised once the official medical results are released,” stated Xavi Miguel.

Despite this setback, FC Barcelona managed to secure a 4-2 victory after a tightly contested first half that ended 2-2. The match was marked by Pedri’s departure in the 60th minute, replaced by Dani Olmo due to the injury.
