Blue Crow Sports Group have sold their near 85% stake in Spanish second-tier side Leganés, a holding they had owned for four years. On Monday 1 June, 885 Capital completed the purchase of 84.214% of the club, taking its control to 99.1% after adding to the 14.86% it already held.
According to AS, the transaction was close to €100m, far above the €39m paid in 2022, and Blue Crow are considering selling their two other clubs, including Le Havre.
The change in control ends Jeff Luhnow’s spell as Leganés president, a role he had held since Blue Crow bought the club. Eduardo Cosin moves into the position.
885 Capital, an international investment group focused on sport and technology, expressed gratitude to Blue Crow for their work over the past four years, saying it had aided the club’s institutional and sporting growth.
Blue Crow became owners of Le Havre in late June 2025 after buying from American businessman Vincent Volpe. They also own Cancun FC in Mexico’s second division.
