Boca extended their unbeaten run to eleven but could not end their home drought against Independiente, drawing 1-1 at La Bombonera. Milton Giménez equalised from the spot to keep them third in their zone, though they may drop if Lanús or Defensa y Justicia win.
According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Claudio Úbeda used a heavily rotated side. Captain Nicolás Figal, 7, impressed in the air and up against Ávalos despite a late slip. Malcom Braida, 7, was solid, and Marco Pellegrino, 6, improved after a hesitant start.
In midfield, Ander Herrera, 6, directed play, lifting a pass for Giménez and threading the ball that led to the penalty. Tomás Belmonte, 6, worked hard but headed a clear chance wide, and Camilo Rey Domenech, 5, lacked rhythm on his return.
Alan Velasco, 4, was a surprise starter, struggled, yet won the penalty for the equaliser. Giménez, 5, scored but missed a one-on-one from Herrera’s lob and went off at half-time. Ángel Romero, 5, was lively without a clear sight, withdrawn at the break.
From the bench, Miguel Merentiel, 4, squandered a counter and was erratic. Adam Bareiro, 5, battled and headed wide. Exequiel Zeballos, 6, added pace and dribbling on his injury return, though the final ball was missing.
Ascacibar, 6, was combative, though his passing was loose. Milton Delgado, 5, arrived late and crossed well for Bareiro. Agustín Marchesín, 5, had little to do and appeared at fault for Independiente’s goal, and Juan Barinaga, 5, was steady aside from one poor touch.
