Boca target two San Lorenzo players but face an unusual impasse | OneFootball

Boca are pursuing Gastón Hernández and Alexis Cuello from San Lorenzo, but an institutional crisis there means there is no formal leadership to receive an offer.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Juan Román Riquelme and Marcelo Delgado are driving Boca's 2026 recruitment, with the Copa Libertadores set as the main objective.

San Lorenzo's board is currently leaderless, and president Marcelo Moretti has filed a precautionary legal measure seeking to nullify minutes he says were designed to oust him. He says he expects a judge will reinstate him as president.

Boca will wait until early next week for the situation to be resolved before tabling a formal bid for Hernández and Cuello, and are willing to pay between six and seven million dollars.

In parallel, Boca are negotiating for Colombian winger Marino Hinestroza, though Santos of Brazil have emerged as competition. The 23-year-old has already said farewell to Atlético Nacional. Santos would be willing to propose a higher offer than Boca's, around four million dollars plus a further one million in add-ons, yet Boca remain confident they can complete the deal in the coming days.
