According to LaNumer12.com.ar, Copa Argentina organisers have set Boca's round-of-32 tie with Sarmiento to be played after the FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Transfer targets are already being discussed ahead of the next window.
Boca will meet Sarmiento for a place in the last 16, where Vélez Sarsfield await. The team are currently resting before facing Universidad Católica.
Boca reached this stage by beating Gimnasia de Chivilcoy, while Sarmiento advanced past Tristán Suárez.
Early names include Paulo Dybala, who is out of contract at Roma and has yet to decide his future.
Nahitan Nández is considered a priority, though his agent has said Boca have not moved for him. The Uruguayan has an offer to extend at Al-Qadisiyah and enquiries from Europe and Mexico.
It is suggested Boca have begun talks for Felipe Loyola, formerly of Independiente and now with Pisa in Italy's Serie A, as a plan B if Nández does not arrive.
On potential exits, Milton Delgado and Exequiel Zeballos are candidates to leave. Inter have shown interest in the midfielder, and there are rumours of an approach from Napoli for the forward.
