Boca enter a pivotal May, juggling Copa Libertadores qualification and the Torneo Apertura play-offs, with a punishing run ahead. If Claudio Úbeda’s side keep advancing domestically, they could play up to seven matches in 23 days. The run will force the coaching staff to manage workloads and keep rotating, as they have so far.
According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the month opens with a tough trip to Ecuador to steer their group campaign, then quickly returns to La Bombonera for the start of the domestic knockouts.
It starts on Tuesday five May with Barcelona v Boca in the Copa Libertadores, Matchday 4, at Monumental Isidro Romero Carbo, 21:00.
Domestic action follows on Saturday nine May, Boca v Huracán in the last-16 at La Bombonera, time to be confirmed. If they progress, the quarter-finals are slated for Tuesday 12 May, then the semi-finals on Saturday 16 May.
Back in the Libertadores, Boca face Cruzeiro on Tuesday 19 May at La Bombonera, Matchday 5, 21:30.
If they reach it, the Torneo Apertura final is set for Sunday 24 May at Mario Alberto Kempes, 15:30.
Group duties conclude on Thursday 28 May, Boca v Universidad Católica at La Bombonera, Matchday 6, 21:30. A Copa Argentina last-32 tie with Sarmiento de Junín also awaits, with date and venue to be confirmed before 31 May.
