Boca’s Herrera suffers grade two hamstring tear, out for at least 21 days | OneFootball

The club said in a statement that Herrera has a grade two injury to his left hamstring, with recovery expected to take at least 21 days.

He was injured in the warm-up before facing Defensa y Justicia, having been set to start.

It is his sixth muscle injury since he arrived at the club. The setback complicates his chances of featuring in the Torneo Apertura run-in, which concludes on 24 May at the Estadio Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero.

Úbeda’s side extended their unbeaten run to 14 matches on Thursday night.

They train on Friday afternoon at Boca Predio in Ezeiza, beginning preparations for the trip to Belo Horizonte to face Cruzeiro on the third matchday of Group D in the Copa Libertadores de América.
