Boca’s Palacios to have right knee surgery, sidelined for at least two months | OneFootball

According to SuperDepor.com, Boca have suffered another injury setback, as Chilean forward Carlos Palacios will undergo surgery on his right knee in the coming days.

The procedure follows a conservative plan that failed to resolve the synovitis he has been managing since last year.

Palacios has yet to feature this season, missing pre-season friendlies and the opening Torneo Apertura fixtures, including the match against Racing.

The operation makes him the third player in the squad to have surgery in less than one month, after Rodrigo Battaglia and Milton Giménez.

His recovery is estimated at around 60 days, so a return could come late in the Copa Libertadores group stage and during the domestic run-in.
