Bodo/Glimt striker Kasper Hogh should top Celtic summer list of targets

It’s no secret that our playing squad is in need of a dramatic overhaul in the summer transfer window, and whoever the new manager may be has an enormous task on his hands as he looks to mould a squad capable of competing on all fronts.
The position we should be looking to strengthen over all others is the centre forward, an area we have repeatedly failed to improve in the past few years.
In the summer of 2024 we splashed out big to land Adam Idah, a signing that proved to be an unsuccessful , when the funds could have been put to much better use.
We have since failed miserably in bids to upgrade our striking options, with a much embarrassing publicised failed move for Kasper Dolberg, whilst we spent an age flirting for deals with the likes of David Strelec, and Mathias Kvistgaarden, before it all went predictably sideways.
We need a proven striker, one that can provide us with goals on a regular basis, and Hogh possess all those qualities.
The Bodo/Glimt man who recently scored his first international goal for Denmark, has proved himself at the highest level in the Champions League, and would be a valuable addition to the Celtic squad.

Hogh is a big physical striker who knows the way to goal, so will have no trouble in adjusting to the Scottish game, and would undoubtedly add a much needed freshness to our attack.
He won’t come cheap though as he’s under contract with Bodo until 2029, but a bid of £12 million should be enough to snare the 25 year old.

Sanctioning such a bid would shatter our transfer record, but one that would be worth it in the long run.
We need a big name signing to show we still possess some ambition, and Kasper Hogh ticks all the boxes. For me he should top our summer shopping list.
