Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior.

According to ESPN, Madrid will not increase their most recent offer to convince the Brazilian to sign a new contract.

Los Blancos have offered a new deal worth around €22 million per year, but Vinicius is demanding €30m annually to extend his stay.

Madrid are set to meet the forward’s representatives this week, but they have no plans to meet his salary demands.

Vinicius has been a key player for the La Liga giants over the years, bagging 128 goals and 100 assists in 375 appearances.

He reinforced his reputation as one of the best in the business during the World Cup 2026, scoring four goals in five matches for Brazil.

The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at Madrid, and the two parties have yet to reach an agreement over a new deal.

Arsenal are focused on landing the services of Vinicius, as they seek to bolster their attacking options for the 2026-27 season.

They have already signed Christos Tzolis, but further attacking reinforcements are needed with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli expected to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Vinicius would be a blockbuster signing for the Gunners, but the financial costs for a deal could be a major stumbling block for them.

Despite Madrid’s weak negotiating position, they will only sanction a sale if they receive an offer worth €150m for their star player.
