Borussia Dortmund 'closing in on' Takato Yamamoto signing | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund are said to be closing in on the signing of 18-year-old Japanese midfielder Takato Yamamoto, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.

The report adds he will join on loan with an option to buy.

Yamamoto is initially planned to feature for Dortmund’s Regionalliga side.

With several players away at the World Cup, he is expected to train with the first team in pre-season, and to be part of Dortmund’s Asia tour from 26 July to three August.

A creative, attack-minded No. eight, he has six senior appearances for Gamba Osaka and is a Japan U19 international.
