Rumors linking West Ham United’s Edson Alvarez with Borussia Dortmund are cropping up again. Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğl reports that the Bundesliga club are giving the Mexican international and his Premier League side something to think about before a loan deal with Fenerbahçe Istanbul is finalized. Sabuncuoğl reports that Inter and Porto are also still interested in acquiring the 27-year-old.

Dortmund possess an acute need both in defensive midfield and central defense heading into the season. Germany’s Schwarzgelben could conceivably purchase Alvarez for a much lower amount than in their past years of courtship. The 92-times-capped international presently maintains an estimated market value of €25m.

Dortmund themselves may be fending off interest from Inter and Manchester United in one of their best midfielders, German international Felix Nmecha.
