Borussia Dortmund's Carney Chukwuemeka to represent Austria over England | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka has chosen to represent Austria at senior level.

FIFA’s Change of Association platform shows the 22-year-old, born in Vienna and capped by England at youth level, has changed association from England to Austria.

He had been eligible for England and Nigeria, but has opted against both.

Chukwuemeka could make his debut for Austria as early as this month and now has a strong chance of being named in the squad for this summer’s World Cup.

PSV youngster Paul Wanner, 20, has also committed to Austria rather than Germany, with his switch officially approved.
